This beautiful hand-crafted Hair pin In depicts Jörmungandr which was tossed by Odin into the great ocean that surrounds Midgard. The serpent grew so large that it was able to surround the earth and grasp its own tail. When Jörmungadr releases its tail it will unleash Ragnarök – the end of the world – during which the serpent and Thor will kill one another. The origins of this bracelet come from a 1000+ year old model found in an archaeological dig site in Gotland, Sweden.
